  • A bench warrant after a missed date: the court that set the hearing issued the warrant and can explain what it requires next, whether that is an appearance, a motion, or a payment.
  • Bond and release: ask the District Court clerk about bond amounts, accepted payment methods, the 10 percent retention rule, and how a refund is handled after the case ends.
  • Clearing a case: talk to a licensed Michigan attorney and the issuing court about a recall motion, a planned appearance, or a surrender.
  • Police reports and incident records: request those from the sheriff or the city police department that responded, not from the court.

County court offices sit at 234 W. Baraga Avenue in Marquette, where the Circuit Court and District Court share a complex, and the Ishpeming District Court service location is at 215 W. Hematite Drive. Court offices generally open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m., and staff can answer procedural questions but not legal ones.

Administrative office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office handles law-enforcement records, service questions, and routing, and it does not publish a public warrant list.
