Why We Built This Site
Michigan court records are more open than most people expect, and the hard part is not access. It is knowing which office holds which piece. A warrant can be issued by a judge, served by a sheriff or another officer, and recorded by a clerk in a file that spun out of a city citation. A bench warrant for a missed date may live in a District Court file while a felony charge on the same person sits in Circuit Court.
The county also has no public warrant list. That combination produces the same mistake over and over: someone checks one page, finds nothing, and assumes there is nothing to find. We gather the actual contacts, deadlines, and procedures for the Marquette County offices that hold these records, so a reader starts in the right place and knows which question to ask first.
What You Will Find Here
- Search steps: how to run a warrant check through the court case index and the ticket search, and when to call the clerk
- Active process: what the active warrant search picture looks like in a county that has no public roster
- Missed court dates: how bench warrant rules work, including the 48-hour window after a first missed appearance
- Charged cases: how arrest warrant process begins, who serves it, and where a case moves next
- Resolving a case: appearances, bond, recall motions, and compliance steps, all handled through the issuing court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We are not connected to any Michigan court, sheriff's office, or state agency, and there are clear limits on what we can do:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant in any system
- We cannot accept payment, post bond, or take money toward a case
- We cannot schedule a court date or arrange a surrender
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific warrant applies to your situation
- We cannot promise that every phone number, address, or procedure listed here is current today
Only the court that issued the process can confirm a warrant's current status, and only that court can record a recall. We point you toward the right office, and the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry search boxes operated by outside companies. Those providers set their own prices, run their own services, and handle the information you enter under their own policies. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee, and that revenue keeps this site free to read.
We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain. A partner result is not an official court record and does not replace a call to the clerk who keeps the file.
